Dr Sarah D. Kocher

Princeton University, USA

Sarah Kocher is an evolutionary biologist and geneticist interested in how social behaviors arise and evolve. In my lab, we study a group of socially variable bees to understand the factors that shape the evolution of the 'social brain'. Our research integrates methods from many different areas of biology to study the evolution of animal behavior. I teach EEB 211 and EEB 388 - one of the field courses for the Kenya study abroad program, and I've been a faculty adviser at Butler for several years
